How old is counting?

I'm very interested in how far back counting goes. I know of the
Czechoslovakian wolf bone of about 30,000 years and the African baboon's
thigh of about 35,000 years. Are there older bones or rocks with notches
that suggest counting? How about Neanderthal or Homo Erectus? Desperate
for old counting. Cal Clawson at cclawson@wln.com

Thank you.
