I am hoping to start sociology graduate school in September, but have
majored in both anthropology and sociology as an undergrad. I am
interested a cross-cultural as well as historical analysis of social
inequality.
If anyone would like to establish an on-going dialogue concerning
issues in inequality, please e-mail me at Gerpow@aol.com.
To what extent did inequality/stratification exist in early humans?
To what extent has it existed in different cultures throughout history?
To what extent does it exist today?
Is inequality a prerequisite for social organization? Or is it only
a by-product of certain types of social organization?
These are some of the questions that I have in mind. Hope to here
from some of you anthropologists!
