Phillip Bigelow asked that I post a listing of papers on our recent work at
Taung. Despite 7 years of work on site (mining has stopped, but scientific
excavation began in 1988 under the direction of Phillip Tobias and myself),
published reports are only coming out slowly. It takes a short time to
excavate, and a long time to extract thousands of individual bones from the
encasing rock matrix. But there are some papers out there, and many more
are due to come to fruition in the next year or two. Below is a list of
recent stuff; as some of it is in journals that are not readily available,
I'll be happy to send reprints to anybody who is SERIOUSLY interested, but
the JHE article is probably the best place to get a start. Now, if I can
master this new technology on my desk, the list will follow:

(then again, maybe not ... let me send this and see what happens)
