See http://osf1.gmu.edu/~herwin for the latest version (7/30/95) of my
primate database. It's getting fairly stable, but it remains a jungle due
to:
1. crossing synaptomorphies,
2. unstable character polarities,
3. hitchhiking of neutral characters,
4. gene flow, and
5. the effect of endogenous selective gradients (often making homoplasy
and homomorphy hard to distinguish).
