There is also a huge collection of Ojibway petroglyphs in central Ontario
(Petroglyph Provincial Park near Peterborough). They had to erect a
glass structure over the site to keep the carvings from eroding, but they
did so with the full cooperation of the local tribes, and the effect
isn't nearly as disruptive as you might think. They still do rituals
there, too.

I noticed that many of the carvings bear a suspicious resemblance to
paleolithic Scandinavian petroglyphs. Any ideas? Comments?
