Embera Indians, Mogue, Panama: Help, need info

The Embera Indian tribe of Mogue, near Punta Patino, Panama use "HAJA"
which is a plant dye in ceremonial body painting. Does anyone have any
information on the plant(s) this dye is derived fro, how it is prepared
etc.??
