In Loving Memory of RJ

Rutting season has started early here in the Ozarks, maybe due to the
terrible drought we are experiencing. Last evening I found the corpse of
RJ, a young buck I had named for his awkward style of running and his
seemingly ostracized status in the herd. He appears to have been trampled
to death; hoof marks are on his face and body. Upon closer scrutiny, I
noticed a protrusion from the base of his skull which looks like it may
have been formed by a tumor--maybe that accounts for his awkwardness.

To Foss: wonderful!

To Mario Rabey: Welcome to the New World, anthropology will never be
the same.
