Flint knapping

Does anyone out there know of any ethnographic material on flint knapping
in contemporary (historical) cultures? OR does anyone know how to flint
knap? I'm curious about how long it takes to learn to knap, how long it
takes to be marginally competent, how long it takes to be an expert. That
is, at what age do people (men?) reach these levels of proficiency? Are there
specialists in aboriginal cultures with regard to flint knapping? Are there
innovators or are people rigidly confined to certain styles? My question is
really in reference to knowledge transfer from generation to generation. I
welcome any comments, stories or anecdotes.
