AAA discussion political?

Hugh,
I, for one, have found the discussion about the American Anthropologist
both important and interesting. My only complaint about the discussion on
the new direction the AA has taken is that I couldn't understand precisely
what that direction was. It forced me to go out and borrow a copy of the AA,
which in itself is not a bad thing. I don't think it is wise to cut off
discussion of these changes on Anthro-L as the journal is certainly a major
player in the discipline and the issues are critical and pervasive.
