Hello, fellow anthroids. I am now part of the academic proletariat and am
teaching Intro to Cultural as an adjunct. I just showed Dead Birds, the
subject of much discussion of late, and I'm about to tea ch my unit on warfare.
Could anyone refresh my memory and summarize the arguments in Pigs for the
Ancestors? I haven't read it in fifteen years, and I think that mention of it
might be apt. However, it's very long, and as a blind person who won't have
have access to readers this weekend, I know I won't be able to get to it. If
any of you have the book freshly in mind, I'd appreciate a bit of a synopsis of
its main arguments, particularly with regard to warfare. Please reply
privately. My E-mail address is Thanks much.
