How to Unsubscribe from A List

Those of you who are about to go away for the summer may want to
stop their beloved anthro-l mail. There are two ways in which you
can do this. The first is much preferable.

1) Send an automated command to the listserver!

send the message "unsub anthro-l" to "listserv@ubvm.cc.buffalo.edu"

(Do not use the quotes. Do not add any additional text such as your
name, email address, or a signature - those will just confuse the
listserver. A subject line is optional and will be ignored.)

(Note that you can also suspend mail by sending "set anthro-l nomail"
and then "set anthro-l mail" when you get back.)

2) If the above fails, and only then, send an email message to me
at hjarvis@acsu.buffalo.edu. I will then look into what the
problem is for you. But please try step one first!

Have a good summer!

Hugh
