I am some way into research on the CONCHEROS in Mexico City. The
Concheros are involved in the symbolic 'rei-vindicacion'
(reconquest) of Mexico; They perform a circle dance for which they dress in
lavish costumes, on the sites of pre-Colombian temples. They
also hold all-night vigils which combine Catholic with indigenous beliefs
and practices. There are groups now too in Texas and New Mexico.

I would very much like to get in touch with anyone working on this or a
similar theme. I'm convinced there must be people in the USA!
