C. Taylor,

If you were not so new to the ANTHRO-L list, you might have been aware that
there were numerous suggestions to IGNORE the Johnson br[o]uhaha, as you put
it, so your suggestion is nothing new-- though I do find it peculiarly
irrelevant to ANTHRO-L, since RJ is no longer on this list.

You might also have been aware of the fact that I have not previously posted
anything to ANTHRO-L re: RJ or the decision to remove him from the list, though
I note that you have not hesitated to use your post as a vehicle for expressing
your own personal opinion on the "soundness" of the decision.

Whatever insights being the mother of a vivacious eight-year-old boy may have
provided you re: the RJ phenomenon, I resent your inaccurate paraphrase of my
post: "Let's follow Johnson and his campaign of questionable terror onto yet
another unsuspecting list! Film at 11:00!"

I did not suggest that members of ANTHRO-L follow Johnson to another list. I
pointed out that he has begun, for the third time, to my knowledge, to behave
in the same manner that got him bounced from HIST-ARCH and ANTHRO-L. In other
words, the leopard has not changed his spots. If you feel that this
information is of less interest to ANTHRO-L than your insight and opinion, I
apologize for it.

As for your suggestion that a Feminist Anthropology list be created, I can only
applaud it.
