In response to Elizabeth's inquiry regarding the personal life of the ethnographer...

In theory it should not make a difference in the reported outcomes or the study

In reality it propably has at least some bearing on the outcome, even if only
minor influence stems from the personal past. This does not invalidate the
ethnographic method...all observational science involves a human element, with
a personal past and future aspirations.
