berdache among the Cherokee

I have a student researching berdache traditions among Southeastern American
Indians. He has compiled a substantial body of literature on the berdache
among other Native American peoples, but is especially interesting on any
information regarding the tradition among the Cherokee. Does anyone have any
information he might use? Thanks.
