I think that people on this list ought to take a good hard look here. The
NIH gopher (gopher.nih.gov) now provides a searchable database (CRISP) of
currently funded Public Health Service programs. Look at what is being
funded - you'd be surprised at the number of programs with an
anthropological slant to it. You might also want to subscribe to APASD-L
which provides regular listings of grant opportunities and RFPs from
various sources with instructions on how to get those RFPs. I've appended
the most recent one to this message. For those of you without positions is
it possible to get an adjunct appointment with a local university that will
provide you with the facilities (i.e. phone, etc.) to work on grant
proposals? Those of you who do have positions, would you or your department
provide facility support for those who want to prepare proposals?? Just
tossing out some ideas here...
