I have read with interest the numerous messages considering the lack of jobs in
anthropology. I am a physician, a clinical geneticist, who is in the process of
changing careers and becoming a physical anthropologist. I am working full-time
in medicine and do not see any way to pull up stakes and go to graduate school a
t this point and there is no graduate program where I am in Norfolk, VA. I am re
ading everything possible and am taking numerous seminars and courses in molecul
ar biology protocols including mitochondrial. Where do I go from here. Is it pos
