R. Stoner's posting is meant to be satirical, right?
Except for a very few people (who tend to know virtually nothing about it!),
I'm not aware of any intellectuals or journals disavowing evolution and
Darwinism, for example. In any case, "analogy" has nothing to do with
Darwinism (or NEED not)--it is simply based upon the principle of "limited
solutions." (and limited kinds of problems and challenges facing peoples--OR
organisms or molecules.....) I would add that recognizing patterns in culture,
including varying forms of socioeconomic integration, is not anti-relativist,
and *evolution*, while it is characterized by hierarchically nested
categories, is not characterized by "progress" or "better" or "Worse."

Then there is the frequent confusion of analog and homolog......
