exercises to illustrate "culture"

culture to color perception and expectations. This would be for a
non-anthropologiocal audience, but I imagine exercises of this sort are commonly
used in intro anthro courses. I remember playing BaFa BaFa (sp?) years ago and
found it OK, but surely someone has come up with more compelling alternatives
since then. I've been asked to help develop some training in multi-cultural
competence in family violence practice, and this is a bit of a stretch for me.

From what I've seen most training in cultural diversity, or multi-culturalism
is not anthropologically informed, proceeds from a simplistic sociological
analysis of power and oppression, and is rather mediocre overall. I'd like to
avoid these shortcomings, but itUs not a trivial task. IUll follow this inquiry
with a more lengthy post which I hope will tie into the thread on anthropologyUs
relevance.
