The Economist magazine of 23 December 1995 has an article (on page21) about
heightism.
Although written in a tongue-in-cheek style typical of the Economist at Xmas
the article identifies prejudice against short men as a serious problem.

The article draws from work by Leslie Martin and Henry Buller published as
"Stature and Stigma" and from Paul Wilson an Australian Psychologist. It also
refers to work by Thomas Gregor of Vanderbilt University.

In short (no pun intended) the Economist argues that in politics, business,
professional status, jobs, money and sex short persons are disadvantaged.

Has anyone else read the article?. If not I suggest that it is worth
reading. What do you think about the notion?
