CALL FOR PAPERS: A multidisciplinary conference, CHANGING CONTRACEPTIVES:
TECHNOLOGIES, CHOICES AND CONSTRAINTS, will be held in England 12-14
September 1996, hosted jointly by U Durham's Anthro dept, U C Stockton, U
Oxford's Centre for Cross-Cultural Research on Women, and Northern Primary
Care Research Network.

The program will include but is not limited to sessions on resistance to
contraception; the development, testing, dissemination and use of long-
acting hormonal contraceptives; male contraceptives; changes in the uses
of and attitudes towards older technologies; and the impact of
political-economies on use and the impacts of use on political economies.
Work with a cross-cultural focus will be particularly welcome and
biosocial perspectives are encouraged.

Conference fees, which include meals, will be c.$112 without 2 nights'
accommodation and c.$198 with.

Abstracts (250 words) are due by April 1st 1996.
