I agree with S. Wilson that culture includes knowledge (symbolic
interpretations of reality) and behavior (especially customary patterns
of interaction between a society's members); but the "ability to transfe
r" these across (or within) generations is a feature of the
psychobiological basis of culture, not a feature of culture itself.
