I believe the tone of this exchange could be uplifted by placing it in
its proper context, that of Intellectual Property Rights. This area of
anthropological concern is expanding rapidly as Tribes in North America
and elsewhere begin to assert such rights over various aspects of their
cultures and cultural heritage.. See _Intellectual Property Rights for
