Anyone at NYU, Chicago, or Texas?

I'd like to take advantage of what appears to be a lull in the list activity to
post a query:

I'd like to hear from any anthropology grad students at NYU, U. of Chicago, or
U. of Texas who would be willing to tell me a little about their impressions of
the strengths/weaknesses of their grad school experience so far. I'm looking
into Ph.D. programs at all three schools in linguistic anthropology (although
I'd be happy to hear from people in other areas). I've done my best to weigh all
the strictly academic factors, so I'm more interested at this point in the
"intangibles" like the degree of cooperation/cohesion/"community" among grad
students, among faculty members, and between the two groups; "quality of life"
issues (i.e. housing, services), etc.

Thanks for any help you can offer.
