Dorothy has a good point, but I disagree. I've never noticed the race of
a person in a commercial, and now that it has been pointed out to me on
this list I'm not really sure all companies are doing it just to make a
profit. I feel that companies are just now starting to get the idea
that it is morally correct to depict the world around us as it really is,
and an improtant aspect of our world is that there are people of
different races in our country. I admit that I am only eighteen,
that I have yet to live out in the real world, and that I am probably the
most naviee and trusting person alive. But I cannot help only seeing the
good in people and our world, and I cannot express how deeply sadden I
feel when people I am let down by the world when hate raises and peace
and acceptence are nowhere to be found.
