The microwave stories were around for a while when the "real story" came
out that what actually happened (starting all these other stories) was an
elderly woman who has this small yappy type dog and she gives it a bath.
It's a cold day and she wants to take it for a walk, so she puts it in
the microwave to dry it off and the dern thing blows up.

I'v also heard that all these animal in the microwave stories are not
true. My sister's friend told me that, but I don't belive her....
