I was! I was a Brownie, and then made it as far as a Junior, but only
for a year. I learned how to make spagetti over a campfire and to sell
cookies. I can still remember the three different ways to build a fire,
and I love Thin Mints. But other than that, it wasn't particularly
useful. I remember a part of the manual that tells about these
brownie/sprite-like creatures that were very helpful to their parents by
cleaning the house while they were asleep. I tried this once. It would
have been quite successful except for the time when the vacuum cleaner
woke up my parents.

What did I know? I was only a kid.
