Although I had some objections to the first AA to appear under new editorial
policies, I was willing to give the Tedlocks another shot. The second number
arrived in my mailbox today. I'm certain I'm not the only one disappointed
to see that there is not ONE article on archaeology (except, perhaps, John
Moore's piece on cladistic theory) in either the "Forum" or the "Articles
and Essays." The biological anthropology (again, Moore) is a strictly
theoretical piece. I'm all for "readability" and humanistic approaches,
but can it be true that the journal has received NO articles worth publishing
from archaeologists? Is anyone else bothered by this? What's up?
