Death Scene Investigation Course

The Rensselaer Police Department and the Jasper County Sheriff's Department are
sponsoring a two day course in "Death Scene Investigation: A Forensic Entomology
and Anthropology Field Training Workshop," to take place at the Jasper County
Fair Grounds in Renssalaer, Indiana, September 14 & 15, 1994. This workshop is
specifically designed for death scene investigators, crime scene technicians,
coroners, and medical examiners. Graphic slide presentations and case studies
will supplement a team teaching format with lectures and hands on field
training, including insect collection and the excavation of buried remains.

The workshop will begin at 8:00 am on Wednesday, September 14 and will end at
5:00 pm on September 15. It has been certified by the Indiana Law Enforcement
Training Board for 14 Continuing Education Credits. A fee of approximately $250
includes all materials and an evening hog roast on Wednesday.
