Sexism on ANTHRO-L?

term "whining" in regards to her comments is a sexist remark! Tracy, you are
much too sensitive. In fact, I had no idea you WERE a female until you pointed
it out. There is a person called Robbin on my museum list who turns out to be
male.
I did not take James Carrier's remarks to be at all demanding. He posed
a valid question. Anthropologists and others (sociologists to name one group)
do NOT have to write obscurely. it is possible to get a point across using a
minimum of jargon and tangled reasoning.
As for those talking about Talcott Parsons, be grateful. My mother had
him on her orals committee before she did her dissertation!
