someone seeking specific references. What's he to do? Call the AAA and ask
for the people doing chaos research? Everyone isn't up on the latest work
that everyone else is doing.

Below, I offer a few specific leads:

Smith, M. Estellie
1990 "Chaos in Fisheries Management" Maritime
Anthropological Studies (MAST) 3(2):1-13.

Wilson, James A. & James M. Acheson
1993 "Chaos, Complexity & Community Management of
Fisheries". MSS. Dept. of Economics (Wilson), Dept. of
Anthropology (Acheson), University of Maine, Orono, ME.

Wilson, J. A., J. French, P. Kleban, S. R. McKay & R. Townsend
1991 "Chaotic Dynamics in Multiple Species Fishery: A
Model of Community Predation" Ecological Modeling 58:
303-322.

As can be seen, these are all fisheries anthropology or economics related.
I'm sure other specific references to chaos research in other specialty
areas and sub-disciplines would also be welcomed by Jacobson.
